As I mentioned on my Y&R blog page, I had this idea for Lola to switch over to Days of Our Lives! We already have one crossover character, Sally, so why not another? My plan goes a little something like this. So we know that Lola was born and raised in Miami, and we also know that Chanel, Paulina, and Lani are from Miami too. Well, imagine that Lola and Chanel are old friends from Florida! They seem to be about the same age so I think it’s entirely plausible that they could have run in the same social circles. Especially since baking and cooking go hand in hand! They’re both involved in the culinary arts, and I think that would be the perfect reason to get Lola onto Days of Our Lives! Chanel could realize that as the bakery gets more popular, she needs more help, and who better to jump in then her pal Lola? The way I see it, Lola might be looking for a new career opportunity after she finishes her internship, and returning to GC won’t appeal to her now that Rey is gone and Kyle is back. Also, Tripp seems to be in need of a new love interest and I think Lola could be a good fit for him! (Ace-spectrum individuals can still be in romantic relationships.)
What's on your mind?
I am just . . . stunned by Tripp's sacrifice. I mean–
Devil: You're willing to die for someone who didn't love you, who cheated on you? You were always her second choice! And I'm the one who's stupid?
Tripp: I don't care if Allie would rather be with Chanel. I still love her.
I can't remember the last time something on the show moved me so much. I never really cared much for the devil drama up until now but I honestly thought that was a pretty poignant conclusion to the storyline.
I know the social community here is pretty much nonexistent but can I just say that Chanel has endured more than enough heartbreak for one lifetime and deserves much love and happiness from here on out okay that's all bye.
I wonder if they are going to d'SORAS her?
On yesterday's show, after John's fainting spell
Kayla: "Judging from the circumstances, I would say that he's dehydrated."
Google: "A human can go without food for about three weeks but would typically only last three to four days without water."
I just realized that the birthdate on Nick's gravestone is exactly the same as his actor's! And it looks like Jordan's birthdate might be the same as (or is very close to) her actor's as well! Also, Charlie's birthmonth is April, just like his actor's! (The date was covered with leaves.)
I've noticed a similar thing on Y&R where the characters' birthdays fall within the same month as the actors who play them. (i.e., Mariah, Elena, Amanda.) I have a page on the Y&R wiki for birthdays and zodiacs, and now I'm thinking of doing something similar here!
It seems the pool of talented, likeable actors is dwindling at DOOL. Borderline characters occupy prime time while we miss classic likeable characters like Hope and Jennifer.
I realize soaps always have somewhat of a revolving door of actors while some of them pursue other opportunities, then come back, but it's on a downward trend IMO.
Lucas is just annoying to look at and blah. Philip likewise, what a mediocre character and entirely unlikeable and uninteresting. Ava, ugh. Gwen, bland, boring. EJ obnoxious and boring. Come on DOOL, we can do better.
As I write this, I'm a few weeks behind (watching the Sept 1 episode) so some of these changes may have already occurred, but in any event, here's what I'd like to see:
Characters to dump:
Kristen (haven't seen her in awhile, maybe already dumped)
Cleo (looks like he may be gone, yay)
Characters to bring back:
Adrienne (not really dead)
Abby (only if Kate Mansi)
Victor (haven't seen him in months)
Paige (not really dead)
Hello all. Wondering if someone on here can answer an obscure question. I used to have a tape with an episode of the show and there was a moment that my sister and I always used to laugh about but have no idea how to find now that its gone. My mother loved the show and she had taped it so no clue who anyone is. Assuming it's late 90's to possibly early 2000's. As I recall it's a scene with a man and a woman and the male comes into the room (kind of a Pavarotti looking guy) and he sees his painting on fire. It seemed woman had done it. He screams something like "My Rene!! MY GOD MY RENEE!!!" and goes to put it out and then he catches on fire and starts screaming and flailing and the scene ends. My mother said it was kind of a big moment in the show supposedly.
Anyone remember this or have any idea what the characters name was or possibly what season or episode it was ? Would love to send the clip to my sister and mother if it exists.
Thanks for reading this.

Does anyone remember what happened to George Dupree? I actually thought he was still Paulina's husband but then she flirted with Abe so something must have happened to him. But I'm wracking my brains trying to remember and have so far come up with nothing!
