Alexander "Alex" Neil Kiriakis II is a fictional character of the soap opera , Days of Our Lives. He is the son of the late Victor Kiriakis and the late Anjelica Deveraux but also the legal adopted son of Justin Kiriakis and his late wife Adrienne Johnson.
Alex was portrayed by Jonathan Thornton in the 80s. In 2022, Robert Scott Wilson was recast as the character shortly after departing the role of Ben Weston. He first appeared as Alex on July 26, 2022.
Storylines
Alexander was conceived during an affair between Victor Kiriakis (who thought to have been Justin Kiriakis at the time) and Anjelica Deveraux, and was thought to be Neil Curtis's son. Alexander was eventually revealed to be Justin's son and Justin's wife Adrienne Kiriakis treated Alexander like one of her own. Alexander gained two brothers via adoption named Joey and Victor, and the whole family eventually moved to Dubai
Alexander eventually returned to Salem with his brothers Victor, Joey, and the son Justin and Adrienne has conceived in the meantime, Jackson. They all attended Salem University offscreen for a brief while before the whole family moved back to Dubai.
When Justin, Adrienne, and eventually Jackson (now going by Sonny) all returns from Salem; Alexander, Victor, and Joey remained out of town and eventually loved to Arizona. Anjelica returned to town, and longed to be apart of Alexander's life. Around this time, Adrienne had a few conversations with Alexander over the phone.
When Adrienne was killed in a car accident, Alexander, Victor, and Joey started a breast cancer charity in her honor since Adrienne had previously battled breast cancer. They invited Sonny to come with them, and Sonny loved with his husband Will Horton, and their daughter Arianna Horton to Arizona. Sonny, Will, and Arianna eventually returned to Salem, and Sonny permanently relocated their when their great uncle Victor Kiriakis offered him the job of CEO of the family company TITAN.
Alexander arrives in Salem and says Joey and Vic and him are at odds, so he chose to come work with Sonny instead. Victor finds out that he bought a company that Sonny was to acquire for Titan, though Alex claim he bought it to give it to Sonny. Victor allows him to work with Sonny but to report directly to him from now on and not Sonny.
While in Salem, Alex had various flings. One of them was Sloan Peterson, who was representing Leo Stark, who had been accused of killing Abigail DiMera. Alex had been aware of all that Leo had done to Sonny, so he reluctantly broke up with Sloan. Sloan made Alex feel some regret for picking family over her as she dropped her shirt and left the room in her bra and panties.
Alex later met Chanel Dupree, and flirted with her before finding out she had a girlfriend Allie Horton. Alex suggested a threesome, and the women were taken a back. They turned Alex down, but maintained a friendship with him. Sonny didn't approve of Alex's bachelor lifestyle, and encouraged his brother to find a single woman to settle down. Alex laughed off the notion, but then ran directly into Stephanie Johnson, and was instantly smitten.
Alex started perusing Stephanie aggressively even though Sonny hired her as TITAN's PR. Stephanie did not return Alex's feelings, and also said she didn't want to date someone she worked with. Sonny also didn't like Alex's intense attraction to his cousin Stephanie and tried to convince him to go after someone else. Alex shared with Chanel and Allie that he found someone, but she didn't return his feeling. Allie and Chanel were happy for Alex, and advised him to try and find someone else or cover up the pain the best he can.
When Sonny was stabbed, and in the hospital, Alex attacked Leo, who was the prime suspect. Alex was named temporary CEO of TITAN while Sonny recovered. Sonny eventually found out about Alex's deception and the brothers got into a big argument that Stephanie defused. Alex and Sonny eventually reconciled.
Alex spotted Chad and Stephanie kissing and lashed out at her for being a hypocrite. However, he felt bad when he learned that Stephanie had gotten some bad news about her mother Kayla Brady, who was in the hospital and dying. Alex felt bad, and apologized before leaving. Allie and Chanel called Alex over to their place, and told him they wanted to have a threesome. Alex was on board and slept with both Allie and Chanel.
While sleeping, Alex had a dream that he was in bed with Chad and Stephanie. Allie and Chanel noticed that something was bothering Alex, and he told them about his dreams. The women teased him about being bi, but Alex vehemently denied it. Alex said both women were great, and they agreed they had a lot of fun, but also started this was a one time thing
Alex was feeling on top of the world, so decided to have as much meaningless sex as possible even telling Sonny that he had a threesome. Sonny begrudgingly asked if he knew any of the participants. Alex did not hesitate to tell him it was Allie and Chanel, which made Sonny choke on his drink. Alex took off after getting a text from Sloan, who had he hooked up with again.
Alex went to Sloan's place where they started to get intimate before Sloan got a call, and had to go do something quickly. She handcuffed Alex to the bed, and left him there. Alex was surprised when Stephanie opened the door to Sloan's apartment, and wondered what she was doing there.
It didn't take Alex long to realize Stephanie was planning on stealing from Sloan and taunted her about possibly telling her. Stephanie begged him not to since Sloan was blackmailing her client Paulina Price.
Stephanie couldn't get out in time when Sloan returned, and hid. Sloan asked Alex if anything interesting happened while she was gone, and Alex didn't tell her about Stephanie. While Sloan was distracted, Stephanie slipped out of her place and silently closed the door. Alex told Sloan the mood was over and asked to be uncuffed. Sloan reluctantly agreed, and Alex left.
Stephanie was grateful to Alex for not telling Sloan, and thought maybe he could use his relationship with Salon to steal the folder. Alex refused, but showed up on Halloween dressed as a cop. He handcuffed Sloan and blindfolded her while he searched for the file. Maggie stopped by with her granddaughter Holly Jonas, and Alex slipped the file to Maggie. He then made up an excuse to leave after removing the handcuffs to Sloan.
Alex gave the file to Stephanie, who was thankful and agreed to go on a date with Alex. Sloan was furious with Alex and dumped him. As Alex and Stephanie were enjoying their date, Stephanie got an urgent call from Paulina and had to go. Sloan got her hands on the file and used it to get Chanel arrested.
Alex brought some dinner for Stephanie while she and Chad worked on a statement to do damage control. Alex arrived and helped them craft a statement. Alex and Stephanie continued to bond, but her budding friendship with Chad unnerved him, especially when Stephanie started spending time with Chad's kids Thomas and Charlotte.
Bonnie went missing temporarily, and Alex helped Justin locate her successfully and take her back to the main house. Bonnie was kidnapped a second time and Alex and Sonny were called by a frantic Justin, but this time Xander saved Bonnie.
Stephanie went ice skating with Chad and his kids, and Alex let his jealousy show, which angered Stephanie cause she felt that Alex was treating her more like his property. Alex apologized and he and Stephanie planned to have sex, but Alex had to run and get a condoms. When he got back, Chad was there, and Alex reluctantly let Chad stay and play video games with him and Stephanie.
Alex and Stephanie finally planned a romantic evening together where they would have sex, but as Stephanie was getting changed. Chad kept calling Stephanie's phone, so he turned it off. Stephanie emerged in black bra and panties, and she and Alex started to Ake love.
Chad showed up, and explained that Kayla had relapsed and was dying. Stephanie was too late to get to the hospital to say goodbye, and Alex was wrecked with guilt over his actions. He confided in Sonny, who told him he has to tell Stephanie the truth. Stephanie figured it out and asked Alex if he turned her phone off. Alex admitted that he did and Stephanie told Alex that she could never forgive him for robbing her the chance to say goodbye to her mother. Alex begged for a chance to fix it, but Stephanie broke up with him and sent him away.
Following his break up with Stephanie, Alex and Allie started hanging out when she became insecure about Chanel's relationship with her half-brother Johnny DiMera. They ended up sleeping together and they both regretted it, but Chanel found out and ended with Allie, who left town soon after.
Alex started a no strings attached relationship with Gwen Rizczech, but ended it when she started therapy with Marlena Evans cause he didn't just want to have meaningless sex anymore. When Victor was out of town for business, Alex was so sure he would be named as TITAN's CEO, and was shocked when Victor named Maggie CEO instead.
Alex clashed with Maggie and even tried to undermine her to Victor. He made a deal without her knowing to obtain the three prime, which had been stolen by Megan Hathaway. Maggie didn't want the prisms and after Alex pushed her too far, she fired him. Alex moved put of the mansion soon after as he thought it would be uncomfortable for him to live there since there was tension between him and Maggie.
Alex found out Victor is his biological father and that his mother lied to him and Justin about his paternity his whole life and Angelica thought she slept with Justin when Alex was conceived but it turns out Victor was actual person she slept with.
