Storylines

Chris Kositchek arrived in Salem. He worked as a foreman for Anderson Manufacturing, and started seeing Mary Anderson. Phyllis Anderson tried to bribe Chris to stop seeing Mary, but he turned her down and continued to see Mary, even after learning she had an affair with Dr. Neil Curtis.

In 1987, Chris quit his job at Anderson Manufacturing, and formed his own company with Mary's help. Mary's father Bob Anderson had a heart attack, and he asked Chris to come back to Anderson Manufacturing. Chris went back to working at Anderson Manufacturing, and a new employee named Stephanie Woodruff set her sights on Chris. Chris was committed to Mary, and eventually proposed to her, but Mary turned him down broke up with him instead.

Chris moved in with Amanda Howard, who had returned to Salem after separating from her husband, Greg Peters. After Chris moved in with Amanda, they started becoming romantically involved, and Mary decided hat she wanted Chris back. Chris and Mary got into an argument, and he accidentally hit her with his jeep. Amanda moved out, but then learned that she was pregnant, and Chris proposed to her.

Amanda went to divorce Greg, but he thought the baby was his and refused. Amanda learned her pregnancy was a tubal one, and suffered a miscarriage. Greg divorced Amanda, but Amanda was so depressed after losing her baby that she left town and broke up with Chris.

Paul investigates his dad John Black and Steve Johnson’s disappearance along with Shane Donovan’s son, Andrew Donovan, they viewed video footage that showed that kidnapper Harris Michaels had visited a local gym. So off they went. Once at the sweat shop, they discovered that it was run by Chris, who longtime viewers may recall owned The Body Connection gym in Salem in the ’80s.
