Drake Hogestyn born Donald Drake Hogestyn (September 29, 1953-September 28, 2024) is an American actor best known for his long running role as John Black on the American soap opera Days of Our Lives. He played the role for 36 years from 1986 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2024 when the actor sadly passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
