Duke Earl Johnson is a character from the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by James Luisi, in 1987.
Storylines
He was the father of Steve Johnson, Adrienne Johnson, and Jack Deveraux. Duke beat his wife Jo Johnson badly, and it forced her to give away their sons in order to spare them from a poor home. Duke found his wife Jo, and their daughter. One night while drunk Duke raped Adrienne, and she then shot him. Adrienne blocked the incident from her memory, and her brother Steve took the blame. From 1990 to 1992 Duke played a recurring role as a ghost who consistently haunted his son Jack, along with Jack's adopted father Harper Deveraux. James Luisi also played Earl Johnson, Duke's twin brother, in 1989.
