Eric Roman Brady III is a fictional character on the soap opera, Days of Our Lives.He is the late son of Eric Brady and Sloan Petersen.
Eric Roman Brady III share some similarities to the late daughter of EJ and Nicole's Sydney DiMera I Sr. who died of a miscarriage in the same way in 2008.
Background[]
After Eric finds out Nicole was pregnant when they cheated on their respective partners. When both Eric and EJ want an answer, Sloan tampers with a DNA test to prevent Eric from learning the truth. Saddened that EJ appears to be the “father”, he decided to sleep with Sloan on the night of their baby's conception.
Sloan was period was late and Eric decided to buy her a pregnancy test. In July of 2024, Sloan find out she pregnant with Eric's child and they both were happy by the news. Eric and Sloan tell everyone they pregnant with their first child and everyone is happy but a few.
After Sloan had nightmare about confessing to Eric she then goes to the hospital to find out that Eric is actually the father of Nicole's baby and decides to temper with EJ genetics DNA tests to make it look like EJ is the father.
Storylines[]
Unfortunately, tragedy strikes on August 21, 2024, when a pregnant Sloan was about to confess to Eric about being Nicole's baby father, she collapsed into pain and unable to breathe. She is rushed to the hospital with Eric by her side. She recovers but upon seeing their first ultrasound of the baby, it had no heartbeat and was pronounced a miscarriage leaving Eric and Sloan heartbroken. Kayla soon informs Sloan that she has an auto-immune disorder that caused her miscarriage and was told she would unlikely conceive another child.
When Sloan and Eric was adopting they stated they would had a son when Melinda told them she had a adopted baby for them a boy.
On November 22, It revealed their late son name is Jude as both agreed on it so his name is Jude Samuel Brady after his paternal aunts Sami Brady and Samantha Evans but also his surviving paternal half-brother Samuel Jude Brady.
On December 4, Sloan wanted to name her baby a miscarried son after Eric Brady and not Jude it turns out and she told Eric about it.

- This Eric Brady’s third child loss he lost two other children he lost a daughter Mackenzie Horton on Mother’s Day May 10, 2020 with ex-lover Sarah Horton and he lost a son Baby Boy Brady-Hunter on November 26, 2023 with ex-lover Jada Hunter.
- Eric Roman Brady III died the same day but different years with John Black and Kristen DiMera late son John Black Jr. Who died as result of a miscarriage on August 21, 1996 .
