Everett Lynch was a character from the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by Blake Berris, who had formerly portrayed Nick Fallon. Everett debuted in October 30, 2023, and departed August 1, 2024.
Casting
Blake Berris was first pictured at Deidre Hall's fiftieth days celebration leading to speculation that he was returning to the show. Though it was seemingly impossible, it was speculated he could be returning as the previously deceased Nick Fallon especially with the looming exit of Camila Banus, who had played Nick's ex Gabi Hernandez that he had become obsessed with.
In the fall, Berris was said to be returning as a new character and would be cast as the previously mentioned ex-boyfriend of Stephanie Johnson. The fall promo revealed that not only would Berris's character be the ex-boyfriend of Stephanie, but also the previously mentioned ex-husband of Jada Hunter.
Berris debuted in his new role on October 30, 2023, and a day later had a run with Gabi, who said she looked familiar and most remind of him someone, but Gabi asserted that she had never seen him before.
Berris last air date was August 1, 2024 when his character was killed off again.
Background
Everett Lynch born was born Robert Everett Stein. He lived in Seattle where he met and married Jada Hunter. Robert ended up cheating on Jada, and become addicted to gambling. Jada filed for divorce, but Robert disappeared.
At some point, Robert met Stephanie Johnson, and introduced himself as "Everett Lynch", using his mother's maiden name. Everett and Stephanie started dating, and he had bought her an engagement ring. He went out to mail a letter and never came back. Stephanie assumed he had ghosted her, but in truth, Everett had been hit by a car while leaving the post office.
Everett suffered from amnesia as a result, and since all he had was is ID and phone on him, the latter had been destroyed from being hit, they didn't know where he lived or that he was even seeing someone.
Everett had forgotten who Stephanie was, and she was long gone by the time he regained his memory of her, and underwent physio to walk again. As a result of the accident, Everett had forgotten his identity as Robert Stein. He remembered his mother but had no memories of his father, or Jada.
Storylines
Everett first appears to Stephanie Johnson, and is revealed to be her ex boyfriend. It is also revealed that Everett is Jada Hunters ex husband. Everett showed up at Stephanie's place and explained what had happened. He was hoping to pick from where he left off with Stephanie, but she had moved on with Chad DiMera thinking he had ghosted her.
Everett stayed in town, and got a job working as the editor in chief at the spectator, but was then fired by Xander Cook. Everett was confused cause Xander likes his work and Xander said it wasn't his decision; it was his partner's. Everett knew that Gwen Rizczech co owned the Spectator, and called her to find why she has fired.
Gwen told Everett that she had sold her half of the spectator to someone, so Stephanie helped him find out who. They learned that it has been purchased through a shell corporation. Everett found who owned it, but didn't want to tell her that the owner was Chad.
Stephanie broke up with Chad, who hired Everett back to work at the Spectator. Everett and Stephanie became friends and Everett even started to form a bond with Chad as they worked together to pick up trash in the park during which time Everett suffered from a headache, and sat down as Chad rushed to get him some water.
Everett, Xander, and Chad were doing on a story on who was running drugs through Salem especially after Holly Jonas overdosed on New Years Eve, and slipped into a coma. Stefan DiMera begged Chad not to run the story, playing the family card with his baby brother.
Chad killed the story, which infuriated Xander and Everett. Everett threatened to quit, but Chad agreed not to kill the story again if they found more proof. That proof came in the form of Lucas Horton, who confirmed that Clyde Weston was the one behind the drug ring in Salem.
Harris Michaels returned to the room and was another that Chad and Everett knew that he was out of prison and in hiding, but they both told Harris that they wouldn't tell anyone where Lucas was. After a shootout that resulted in the death of one of the main drug runners, Everett and Chad attempted to question Commissioner Rafe Hernandez, but he shut them down.
Everett and Chad decided they had to go to the source, and went to pay Clyde a visit in Statesville. Clyde denied being involved, and his phone rang during the conversation. Everett and Chad told Clyde he could answer that, saying they wouldn't tell the guards.
Clyde ignored them and started levelling threats, taunting Chad about how he killed his wife Abigail Deveraux, saying how she begged for mercy. This caused Chad to lunge at Clyde, but Everett held Chad back, and they left.
Everett and Stephanie eventually realized they didn't just want to be friends and got back together. Stephanie was excited for Everett to meet her friend Jada Hunter and they planned a double date with her and Rafe, but when Jada saw Everett, she called him Bobby and was hostile towards him. According to Jada, Everett was Robert Stein, her ex-husband, who cheated on her. Everett denied that he was Bobby.
Stephanie was confused and heartbroken especially once Steve found out that Everett was registered under Robert Everett Stein. Chad was also furious for Everett for lying to Stephanie even though he maintained that he wasn't Robert Stein.
Stephanie tried to support a confused Everett, who started entering into therapy with Marlena Evans to recover his past memories. As Everett delved into his memories under hypnosis, he saw something dark with him and that made him not want to continue with the therapy even though he told Stephanie he was still going and making progress.
Jada found out her divorce to Robert Stein wasn't finalized and demanded Everett sign the papers. Everett only wanted to sign them as Everett Lynch. He refused to acknowledge even in writing that he was Robert Stein as he felt that would be forgery. However, after a talk with Stephanie, Everett signed them as Robert Stein, but then this cause his alternate personality Robert Stein to re-emerge.
Bobby immediately trashed the divorce papers as he intended to win Jada back and made up excuses as to why he couldn't sign them. He also showed little interest in Stephanie, which confused her. While Bobby was writing an article for the Spectator, he signed it as Everett Lynch and that caused Everett to return.
Eventually, Bobby took over on a more permanent basis, and Marlena deduced that Everett had a split personality. When Stephanie and Jada confronted "Everett", they learned he was Bobby and tried to get him to admit himself into Bayview, Bobby refused.
Bobby was eventually admitted into Bayview, and was visited by Stephanie and Jada. Jada tried to get Bobby to let Everett come out, but Bobby refused saying he was protecting Everett. When they asked him from what, Bobby became angry and ordered then to leave.
Later, Bobby called Jada in where he told her he could help her solve the murder of Li Shin, but faked being tired and asked Jada to come back the next day. As it turns out, shortly after Everett arrived in Salem, Bobby took over, and overheard a distraught Connie Vinniski openly talking about killing Li.
Connie soon paid Bobby a visit hoping to get his silence. She made a deal with Bobby that she would get rid of Rafe if he kept quite what he saw. Bobby agreed and then faked that Everett had returned so he could get out of Bayview.
Bobby couldn't stop his actual attitude from coming through at times making more and more people realize he was faking it. Bobby accepted some coffee from Connie that was poisoned and realized it too late. As he lay dying, Everett returned long enough to say goodbye to Stephanie and tell her he loved her before passing away.
Connie had forged a suicide note framing Bobby for all her crimes, but he and Everett were cleared post mortem when Connie was eventually captured. Everett was cremated and his ashes were given to Stephanie.
