Jada Louise Hunter is a character from the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by Elia Cantu since July 19, 2022. She is the daughter of Marcus Hunter.
Background
After leaving Salem, Marcus Hunter met and married an unnamed woman. He has two children with her: Jada and Talia Hunter. Jada and Talia likely grew up with their parents until their father and presumably their mother passed away. Jada pursued a career in law enforcement while Talia followed in Marcus's footsteps and became a doctor.
Jada was married to Everett Lynch pre 2021 whos real name was Robert Stein. Jada always called him Bobby tho. Bobby cheated on her with Stephanie Johnson. The affair went on for about two years until Jada found out. They divorced and she moved to Salem and he was with Stephanie until he accident.
Storylines
Jada arrives in Salem in 2022 to interview for a job with the Salem police department. Jada makes an impression on police commissioner Rafe Hernandez due to her knowledge of the investigation into the recent murder of Abigail Deveraux. Rafe hires her on the spot and her first assignment is to question Sarah Horton about the murder. Jada connects with her father's foster brother Steve Johnson and his wife Kayla Brady Johnson and thanks him for the job recommendation. When Jada kills a suspect her first day on the job, Kayla's nephew Eric Brady comforts her. They later plan to go on a date and Eric offers her a room at his family's pub. However, the romance is plagued by Eric's lingering feelings for his ex-wife Nicole Walker. Jada witnesses the two kiss plans to break it off with Eric when she passes out. Rafe rushes Jada to the hospital where she discovers she is pregnant. Despite the pregnancy, Jada and Eric agree to go their separate ways and raise the baby as co-parents. However, after Nicole warns her how hard it is being a single parent, Jada rethinks her decision and terminates her pregnancy.
In 2023, Jada and Rafe grow closer as they work together. Later, Jada's sister Talia Hunter arrives in town. Jada is concerned when Talia starts working at Sweet Bits Bakery instead of using her medical degree.
Rafe and Jada officially start dating, and plan to marry, however they hit a snag when Rafe is kidnapped by EJ DiMera, and replaced with his look alike Arnold Feniger. "Rafe" begins acting really different, and flirtatious to other women, which upsets Jada. While upset one night, Jada has a one night stand with Shawn Douglas Brady.
In 2025, Jada goes on a date with Jeremy Horton when they matched on a dating app. After finding out Jeremy was her best friend Stephanie's ex, she breaks things off with him.
