Kellam Chandler was a character from the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by Bill Joyce from 1980-81.
Storylines
Kellam Chandler moved to Salem in 1980. He was a politician and owned Chandler Corporation. He planned to take over Anderson Manufacturing, and had Alex Marshall try and help him sabotage the company. Alex didn't trust Kellam and hired David Banning to spy on him. Alex later believed Kellam sabotaged the plane that he and Marie Horton were on, and tried to kill them.
Kellam's daughter Liz Chandler, from his first marriage, moved to Salem and came to live with him. Kellam had set his sights on Marlena Evans and gave her husband Don Craig a position in his company. Kellam was determined to break up Don and Marlena's marriage, so he could have her for himself. In 1981, Kellam made a move on Marlena, and when she refused Kellam's advances towards her, he raped her.
Later, Kellam's stepson Josh Fallon confronted his Kellam about his role in the death/suicide of his mother Sunny Chandler, and eventually Joshua pulled a gun on him, but he couldn't shoot Kellam. Joshua dropped the gun, and Kellam picked it up. Kellam was about to shoot Joshua when Kellam's son Todd Chandler came in and wrestled with his father for the gun. As they struggled, the gun went off and hit Kellam, who died soon after.
