Rebecca North LeClair was a character from the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portrayed by Brooke Bundy from 1975 to 1977.
Storylines
Rebecca was hired as a nanny for Doug Williams daughter Hope. She was dating Johnny Collins during this time, but they broke up. Rebecca wanted her own child so she took part in an anonymous IVF program and ended up pregnant with Doug's child. Rebecca eventually told Doug the truth, but he gave up all rights to the child.
Rebecca was prepared to raise her baby as a single mother, but Doug's best friend Robert LeClair told Johnny about Rebecca's pregnancy and he rushed back to Salem to make a family with Rebecca. As Johnny and Rebecca were planning to get married, Dr. Neil Curtis convinced Rebecca to tell Johnny the truth, and he left her at the altar after she did.
Robert stepped up and married Rebecca having developed feelings for her and hoping she would return them in time, but before she could get the chance too, Johnny returned. Rebecca was torn between her love for Johnny and loyalty as Robert's wife but eventually she left town with Johnny and named her son after Doug. Rebecca and Johnny later died in a plane crash, and Robert raised Doug renaming him Charle.
