Sandy Horton is a character from the soap opera Days of Our Lives. She is the daughter of Kitty Horton and Tommy Horton, Jr. and the granddaughter of original characters Alice Horton and Tom Horton.
Storylines
Sandy returned to Salem with her mother in 1967 where she became close with her maternal grandparents. In 1968, Sandy learned Mark Brooks was really her father Tommy Jr, and they formed a relationship After Kitty died of a heart attack, Sandy resented the rest of the Hortons for how they had treated her mother. In 1970, Sandy moved into a dorm room at her school. 12 years later, in 1982, Sandy had become a doctor at Salem University Hospital, following in her grandfather's footsteps.
Sandy became engaged to Evan Whyland, but broke it off when she learned he cheated on her. She confided in Maggie Horton that she could kill Evan, and when she had to perform emergency surgery on; Alex Marshall switched the medical records, causing Sandy to administer the wrong type of Penicillin to Evan, which killed him. Sandy was suspended, but later reinstated and cleared of any wrong doing. In 1983, Sandy and Marlena Evans witnessed Roman Brady kill Daisy on the docks. Though Marlena was married to Roman, she still turned him into the cops, and Roman was arrested. Sandy disappeared off canvas after that and presumably left town.
