Von Leuschner family

The Von Leuschner family is a minor family that has ties to the Brady family, DiMera family, and Alamain family. The family was introduced through Carly Manning and Frankie Brady, but the name itself didn't become prominent until 2021 when Dimitri Von Leuschner was introduced.

They are a wealthy family that arranged a marriage between Carly and Lawrence Alamain, presumably because of both families having immense wealth. They gave a family heirloom that became known as the Alamain Peacock to the Alamain's by making it part of Carly's dowry. However, Carly became a run away bride, but the Alamain's never gave the peacock back.

Brothers Henri and Oskar Von Leuschner are the only know heads of of the Von Leuschner family. Henri has arranged for his daughter Katarina's marriage to Lawrence. He died at some point and Katarina ran away, and changed her name to Carly Manning, so that left his young son Francois an orphan.

Francois got the nickname Frankie and met up with Max Becker and they were adopted and raised by Shawn and Caroline Brady. Carly and Lawrence would learn they had a son named Nicholas Alamain, who was raised by Lawrence's aunt Vivian Alamain.

Carly and Lawrence left town with Nicholas, but Max and Frankie stayed and grew into young man. Frankie mostly became romantically entangled with Jennifer Horton before eventually leaving town.

Years later, Carly would have an affair with Daniel Jonas, and give birth to a baby girl that Lawrence would force her to give up to Trent Robbins, who just so happened to be Max's biological father.

All this would become known after Carly killed Lawrence in self defence and returned to Salem where she reunited with Daniel and met her grown daughter Melanie Layton. By this time, Trent was also dead, but Carly was haunted by the knowledge that Trent had been horrible to Melanie.

Carly also found herself estranged from Nichols due to killing his father and likely Vivian influencing him against Carly, but after become institutionalized, Nicholas met his half-sister and reconciled with his mother leaving town with her.

Meanwhile, Oskar got together with Megan Hathaway, the daughter of international crime lord Stefano DiMera. They had a kid that they named Dimitri Von Leuschner. Dimitri and Megan has a close relationship, which Oskar didn't like, so he sent Dimitri off to boarding school.

Despite primarily being raised by Megan, Dimitri kept his last name, and also took pride in it, scorning his cousins for abandoning their last name. He also wanted to reclaim the Von Leuscher heirloom from the Alamain's.

However, Dimitri didn't have much family on the Von Leuschner side and, when the time was right, came to Salem with his mother to reconnect with the remaining DiMera's. Megan also revealed that Dimitri had to get married before his 40th to get a substantial inheritance of Von Leuschner family.
