Jing-Wen "Wendy" Shin is a character from the second chapter of Beyond Salem that aired on July 11, 2022, portrayed Victoria Grace. She joined the official show on October 11, 2022 on a contract basis.
Storylines
As the only daughter and youngest child of Wei Shin, Wendy felt like she had a lot to prove to her father, who was more into traditionalism. Growing up, Wendy's best friend was named Samir and her first love was a boy named Cameron that she met in computer class. Cameron eventually broke her heart when he found someone else.
Wendy is the daughter of Wei Shin and younger sister of Li Shin, who works in IT for DiMera Enterprises pharmaceutical division in Alaska.
She tries to show up her brother by locating one of the three prisms. While searching for Harris Michaels, she breaks into the apartment shared by Tripp Johnson, Joey Johnson and Stephanie Johnson. She is apprehended and questioned by the two brothers, who recognize Harris as the man who delivered their pizza. They team up and travel to Hong Kong, where a gala to present the prisms are held. She and the boys help apprehend a brainwashed Steve Johnson and John Black. She is rewarded with a promotion at her old job.
She appears on Days of Our Lives a few months later searching for Li to ask for a transfer to the main office in Salem. He eventually agrees with EJ DiMera's approval. However, she notices how shaky his relationship with Gabi Hernandez is. Johnny DiMera shares his thoughts on how Stefan DiMera has changed so drastically and the two team up to find out what happened. Johnny and Wendy develop an attraction to each other. However, she soon falls in love with Tripp and chooses him over Johnny when she realizes that he still has feelings for Chanel Dupree DiMera. They both become entangled with Clyde Weston's drug ring when his henchwoman, Rebecca Goldman, kidnaps them in order to keep Ava Vitali under his thumb. They pair are rescued from an abandoned ship by John, Steve and Ava although Clyde manages to escape from prison.
After recovering physically and mentally, Wendy decides to go visit her parents in Hong Kong, and Tripp decides to leave with her.
